A good sheath contains seven silver rings, two for belt attachment and five rings for holding the silver threads that are woven around the sheath to adorn and beautify it. The top handle of most daggers is flat-shaped, while the Sa'eedi dagger, which is exclusive to the Omani royal family members, has some variations in its craftsmanship, featuring an ornate tip. In dagger crafting, the dagger is fastened onto a regular belt made of locally woven sturdy fabric, sometimes adorned with silver threads resting on leather belts covered with intricately woven silver wires.
